Underwriter - Portfolio Solutions

Eames are working with a leading London Market insurer looking to hire an Underwriter into a newly established portfolio solutions function, focused on building a data-led approach to underwriting books of business rather than individual risks.

The role will involve assessing and developing portfolio opportunities, working with strategic broking partners and using data, pricing and performance analysis to help shape underwriting rules and support the onboarding of new facilities. The portfolio is currently weighted towards Property, with expansion planned across Financial Lines, Casualty and other specialty classes.

This is a broad role with significant scope to develop as the team grows. They are open to candidates from underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, portfolio management or other analytical insurance backgrounds, with the key requirement being a strong commercial mindset and genuine interest in using data to improve underwriting decisions.
