Head of Information Security, APAC

A well-established financial services organisation is hiring a Head of Information Security to lead its security function across Asia Pacific. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate at both strategic and operational level, shape regional security direction, and hold their own with senior stakeholders across the business.

You'll own the region's information security programme end to end: setting priorities, running risk and control assessments, and making sure the organisation's security posture keeps pace with a fast-moving threat landscape and a demanding regulatory environment across multiple Asian markets. You'll lead the response when incidents happen, and put the right preparation in place so the organisation is tested and ready before they do. You'll also be the senior point of contact for regulators, auditors and other external parties on security matters, and a trusted advisor to leadership on where to invest and what to prioritise.

Beyond the technical remit, this is a people and influence role. You'll build and lead a team of security professionals, and you'll regularly present to senior leadership, risk committees and boards, translating technical risk into decisions non-technical stakeholders can act on.

What you'll bring

• Financial services background essential
• Substantial hands-on information security experience, including leading teams across multiple markets
• Comfortable presenting risk directly to senior leadership, risk committees and boards
• Solid grounding in recognised security frameworks and standards
• Experience with regulatory requirements across Asia-Pacific markets
• Relevant professional certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM) preferred
• Strong communicator, credible with both technical and business audiences
