Senior Claims Adjuster (Treaty), London

A global reinsurer is looking for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join its London treaty claims team, handling a complex portfolio across Property, Casualty, Marine and Aviation.

This is a senior technical role with responsibility for some of the largest and most complex reinsurance losses written through the London and European markets. You'll manage claims from evaluation through to settlement, with a strong focus on coverage, reserving, wording interpretation and ensuring appropriate outcomes for both clients and the business.

The role will also involve close collaboration with Underwriting, Actuarial, Technical Accounting and Legal, alongside regular engagement with cedants and brokers.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Managing complex and high-value treaty reinsurance claims
• Reviewing coverage, reserves and settlement strategy
• Advising underwriters on contractual and legal issues
• Supporting account reviews, audits and portfolio analysis
• Monitoring loss trends, large-loss exposures and historical reserves
• Reviewing treaty wordings and clauses
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and brokers
• Supporting and mentoring more junior claims colleagues where appropriate

We're looking for an experienced reinsurance claims professional with strong technical expertise across complex P&C losses and a good understanding of treaty reinsurance. Experience across Property, Casualty, Marine or Aviation would be particularly relevant.
